Our mission is to help “make money online” new comers find their way.
When Experiment Income was first founded in late 2011, the aim was to document various methods of making money online to try and prove what works and what doesn’t.
After a few months of experimenting I soon realized that working on too many different projects means each project doesn’t get the focus and the time it deserves. I had to stop most of what I was doing and focus on making one project work.
The question of “what exactly should I focus on” then came up. That’s when I decided to change the direction of this site.
This site is now here for those of you who want to build a business online but have no idea what you want that business to be.
Too many people talk about building a business based on your passion or doing what your good at but no one talks about what you do if you don’t actually know what you’re good at or if you don’t really have a “passion”.
That’s where experimenting comes in. I truly believe that the best way to learn what you’re good at and find a passion is to simply dive in and start experimenting! I learn more in a day of experimenting than I ever could from reading a book.
After 7 months of “hard core” experimenting I’ve finally found a niche that I’m passionate about that I also happen to be very knowledgeable in. Without all my experiments I would have never found that niche.

It’s not been long but this new project has been going better than any other so far and I’m certain it will succeed. Although putting a stop to my other projects was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, it means I’m now free to give my main project the attention it deserves. I’m getting things done and really enjoying it!
This site is NOT currently my main focus so I may neglect it sometimes but here’s what I plan to discuss on Experiment Income:
How to find your passion and your niche with experiments
This will be a main part of the articles I write. I really believe that more people need to get experimenting and see where things go!
How to build an online business
Once you find your niche you will want to know what to do next. Most of these articles will be for beginners as that’s who this site is for so if you’re an online business veteran you won’t find much of this useful. I’ll go through the whole process from the market research stage (the most important) to monetization.
Interviews with Experts
This section of the site will become more important in the following months. Instead of experimenting with each income type, I’ll bring experts in to tell us all about the niche they operate in. That way you can learn all about your different options and get an idea of what get’s you excited.
Progress Reports
This is mainly to track what I do but it’s also important to be transparent and let you know what I’m actually up to and what lessons I’ve been learning on the way.
The odd experiment
Although the focus is moving away from me running “income experiments”, I will still do marketing experiments and monetization experiments and document the success or failure of my methods.
So that’s pretty much it. This site is for those of us who want to get a feel of what “making money online” is all about before eventually finding a focus and making shit happen!
